HTC Europe has announced a new Firmware update. This upgrade will give your Hero a new version of Android and bump it to v2.1(Eclair). It will be available for an over the air upgrade and it’s recommended that it’s downloaded while connected to a Wi-Fi hotspot if you don’t have an unlimited data plan.
Some of the benefits of this upgrade will allegedly be better camera functionality, improved MP3 player features and Facebook integration.
